A single armchair uses around 7 - 8 square metres of fabric. The patchwork style not only looks incredibly effective, it is also recycled and sustainable. All the fabric I use is reclaimed; off-cuts, pieces from clothing, tablecloths, curtains and all manner of fabric products that have been discarded. A large 8 metre piece of recycled fabric is not always easy to come by, but 70 smaller pieces of reclaimed fabric is in bountiful supply. These textiles have crossed through decades of styles and have been collated together, reimagined for a new modern use.
This particular armchair was a recent custom order request for Brett.
This chair has gone to a new home and shall live out the next part of its life in style.
